Today marks the formal release of construx.ost, now available globally for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music. Operating as a fully realized autonomous work, this soundtrack stands as a vital sonic component within configuration_C of the broader transmedia ecosystem, en busca de la nada.

Composed by Taro Arthur and Evan Williams, with distinct contributions from Victoria Newman and Emiliano Garcia, the score beautifully captures the raw, introspective atmosphere generated during the project's first film cuts back in 2023. To frame the work, the welcoming memorandum utilized for construx.live—titled syntax—was deconstructed and fragmented into a sonic foreword, mastered by Taro to give the release an immediate sense of spatial dimension.

[CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK // MATERIALITY & NOISE]

Borrowing its nomenclature from Russian Constructivism, construx functions as both a conceptual statement and a strict technical framework for the score. Historically bound to the visual arts, Constructivist philosophy has been translated here into auditory terms: a rigorous interrogation of materiality through sound, noise, and instrumentation.

This creates a direct lineage to musique concrète, where found sounds and raw samples are treated as physical matter. The composition methodically manipulates texture and tonality to mirror the distinct, processed visual aesthetic of the project's filmic iterations.

"As a core philosophy, noise encapsulates nothingness—the practice of non-thinking. Not the absence of thought, but the active contemplation of non-thinking. Sitting Zazen, one inevitably encounters the internal and environmental noise of the space, the body, the mind, and the tired eyes gazing into emptiness. Accepting this chaos, finding its structural beauty, and translating it into a sonic landscape is central to the work."

This ideological weight is balanced by an intentional, physical focus on low-frequency architectures. Driven by a shared obsession with heavy low-end design, the score utilizes subtle, monolithic bass sounds to completely envelope the listener. It is an auditory presence that feels like nothingness, yet demands an intense, physical vulnerability.

[PROCESS LOG // SYSTEMIC TRANSLATION]

The soundtrack embodies the complexities of its original input, configuration_E (the script/palimpsest), from the ground up. The production team executed a line-by-line evaluation of the themes, concepts, and emotional barriers embedded within each written episode to establish strict guidelines for what each sonic piece should communicate, include, or actively avoid.

Using digital brainstorming with Figma to map these abstract connections, the team cross-referenced the film matrices to translate text, visual aesthetics, and temporal distortions into pure sound. Just as the cut-up technique defined the structural writing of the films, it has been executed here sonically through musique concrète.

Sound within en busca de la nada is never mere accompaniment. It is a foundational medium that synthesizes chaos, expands the boundaries of world-building, and demonstrates how a transmedia universe can be flawlessly translated into a fully realized auditory form.
