Abstract
Can we refocus consumption towards our personal relationships and self-worth? Can doom scrolling build personal communities? After creating a group manifesto repositioning ourselves to Instagram doom scrolling, practiced scheduled communal doom scrolling every day for ten minutes. Cathartic and wilful, we found ourselves using this practice as a form of self-discipline imagining a communal commitment more vital than wilful self-care or self-help.
