Raised in the Peruvian Amazon by environmental scientists, he grew up surrounded by diverse stories, landscapes, and rhythms that continue to shape his sense of the metaphysical. These origins ground his practice in ecology and storytelling, even as his work expands into digital and speculative realms.

Moving fluidly across film, sound, installation, and performance, johans creates environments where perception is fractured and reassembled — where time collapses into rhythm, memory emerges as scent, and absurdity reveals itself as ritual.
